WEEE Symbols
The 'Crossed out Wheelie Bin' with Bar
All electrical and electronic equipment made after 13 August 2005 should display this symbol on the packaging or the product.
The symbol indicates that the product should not be disposed of with normal household waste but taken to a collection site for recycling.

Battery Recycling
This symbol is very similar to the one above but does not have a bar at the bottom of the bin. It was used on electrical and electronic equipment made before 13 August 2005. This symbol will be re-introduced in order to support the Battery Directive which will shortly become part of UK law.
The symbol indicates that the product should not be disposed of with normal household waste but taken to a collection site for recycling.

Scrap product return
When you buy a new electrical product from Shoulders of Shoreham you can return your old electric like for like product to us and we will dispose of it in a legal and environmentally friendly way. You must return your old mower to us within 28 days of buying the new one.
Send it to Shoulders of Shoreham, Weee Returns, 17 Bampfield Street, Portslade, East Sussex, BN41 1SE. You must enclose a letter quoting the Online order number for your new electrical item plus your name and full address. The cost of the return is your responsibility.

How to recycle your WEEE
Don't dispose of electrical products with your normal household waste; use an electrical waste recycling centre. There is no charge for this service.
You can locate your local electrical waste recycling centre at http://www.recycle-more.co.uk/ - just enter your postcode in the “Bank Locator” and click the Search button. Alternatively your Local Authority will have details of WEEE Recycling Centres on their website.
Remember, recycling minimises the impact on our planet and protects the environment for future generations.
